Cloud Infrastructure Optimization Expert

We seek a seasoned Cloud Operations Engineer to drive cloud infrastructure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Analyze daily/weekly usage patterns and billing reports to identify anomalies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain scripts using Python, Bash, or similar for cost reporting, resource clean-up, and efficiency enhancements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to right-size compute, storage, and database resources.
  • Implement reserved instances, savings plans, auto-scaling policies, and storage lifecycle policies to reduce spend.
  • Leverage native tools like AWS Cost Explorer, CloudWatch, GCP Billing, and third-party monitoring platforms.
  • Contribute to SRE/DevOps practices by ensuring infrastructure reliability while balancing costs.
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP services (EC2, S3, IAM, GKE, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Experience in cloud cost monitoring & optimization.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.).
  • Understanding of SRE concepts: reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation.
  • Prior experience in cost analysis and optimization for enterprise workloads.
