Senior Site Reliability Engineer

We're looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer.

As a Senior SRE, you'll play a key role in improving the reliability of our products and services by applying your knowledge of development and operations. You'll work closely with product development teams, Cloud Infrastructure, and other SRE teams to ensure effective observability and improve the overall quality of our products.

  • Enable fast-growing teams across multiple applications and locations.
  • Tackle complex development, automation, and business process problems.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and resilience of Cvent products and processes.
  • Work with product development teams, Cloud Automation, and other SRE teams to identify and resolve observability gaps.
  • Identify recurring problems and anti-patterns in development, operational, and security processes.
  • Develop build, test, and deployment automation targeting multiple on-premises and AWS regions.
  • Contribute to Open-Source projects.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with distributed teams.
  • A passion for making things better for peers.
  • Experience managing AWS services and operational knowledge of managing applications in AWS via automation.
  • Scripting language proficiency (Typescript, Javascript, Python, Ruby, Bash).
  • SDLC methodologies (preferably Agile) experience.
  • Observability (Logging, Metrics, Tracing) and SLI/SLO experience.
  • APM, monitoring, and logging tool experience (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk).
  • Containerization concepts understanding (docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
  • Self-motivation and minimal supervision tolerance.
  • Troubleshooting and incident response experience.
Nice to Have
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools experience (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform).
  • 3-tier application stack management experience.
  • Basic networking concepts understanding.
  • Server configuration through Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or equivalent experience.
  • NoSQL database experience (MongoDB, Couchbase, Postgres).
  • APM data analysis for troubleshooting and performance bottleneck identification.
