Job Title: Plant Operations Specialist

About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Plant Operations Specialist to oversee the daily operations of our biofuel/biogas facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant, driving reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective plant setup and operations strategies to meet production targets.
  • Optimize digestion, gas cleanup, compression, storage/dispensing, and utilities to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Establish and maintain a robust preventive/predictive maintenance program to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Manage external contractors and vendors to control scope, change, and debottlenecking projects.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS and statutory regulations; develop and maintain SOPs, PTW, emergency response plans, and audit readiness.
  • Build and lead a high-performing O&M team (shift engineers, mech/E&I, utilities, QC).
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in leading plant setup/commissioning and operations in biofuel/biogas/CBG or closely related continuous-process industries.
  • Proven track record of technology evaluation/verification (vendor due diligence, guarantees, trials, acceptance testing).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical & instrumentation (compressors, blowers, agitators, PSA/membrane, analyzers, HT/LT).
  • Solid understanding of EHS, environmental norms, and compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering (or related).
