Job Title: Category Development Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our fresh produce category development efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the fresh produce value chain, including farm production, seasonality, mandi dynamics, and imports/exports. They will be responsible for developing and executing growth plans across vegetables and fruits, as well as tracking price trends, demand forecasts, and category economics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales, profitability, and expansion across assigned categories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand to inform category strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement operational processes and procedures that support category goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Supply Chain, or MBA.
  • 6-10 years of experience in F&V category management, commodity sourcing, or modern trade supply chains.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to collect and analyze data to inform business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel to meet with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders as needed.
