Business Risk Management Control Assurance Officer

This role involves supervising the work of team members within the Business Risk Management organization and ensuring that control testing programs run efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services performing control testing work, such as SOX, SOC, Internal Audit.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform risk and control assessments, audits, or testing in a financial services environment.
- Design and operational effectiveness review or testing.
- Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders at relatively senior levels.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize competing priorities.
- Provide effective coaching and workpaper review for less experienced team members.
- Self-motivated and adaptable professional with ability to meet deadlines.
- 9+ years of experience in risk and control assessment, audit, or testing.
- Good understanding and experience in performing control design and operational effectiveness review or testing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Some project management/planning experience and desire to develop leadership skills.
- Ability to multi-task, plan ahead, and anticipate issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with common risk and control processes in securities trading, asset management, custody banking, or fund services.
- Experience with large GRC systems useful.
- Knowledge and awareness of relevant compliance requirements and fundamental regulations.
