
Building Materials Growth Strategist

We are seeking an accomplished professional to spearhead category growth and profitability across a designated region. This role demands strategic acumen, leadership prowess, and exceptional communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Drive revenue and margin expansion for the building materials category across assigned territories.
- Develop and execute targeted strategies for market penetration, cost optimization, and supplier relationship management.
- Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and pricing dynamics to inform sourcing and sales strategies.
- Ensure end-to-end ownership of regional profit and loss statements for building materials.
- Oversee key performance indicators including top-line revenue, gross margin, cost of goods sold, and working capital.
- Lead a team of category and procurement managers in achieving business objectives.
- Establish and maintain robust supplier partnerships to ensure reliable and cost-effective material sourcing.
- Experience: 10–18 years in procurement, category management, or supply chain with a focus on construction, infrastructure, or building materials industries.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record in managing large teams, handling regional P&Ls, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of building materials procurement, pricing structures, and vendor ecosystems.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
