Job Title:

We are seeking a Senior Technical Assistant to join our engineering team.

The Working Engineer will be part of an engineering team providing engineering services to large and small projects. The Working Engineer is responsible for engineering in a 3D environment and production of 3D models and 2D drawings in accordance with project requirements under the supervision of the Project Engineer (PE). The Working Engineer is required to apply specialized and/or advanced engineering principles at conceptual and detailed levels. The Working Engineer participates in a wide range of projects, and the activities include modeling and drafting for the detailed engineering phase for multi-disciplinary projects.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • • 1-4 years of experience in a relevant design discipline
  • • Experience in engineering packages

You must have:

  • • Postgraduate or graduate in an engineering discipline

As a Senior Technical Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • • Assisting the Project Engineer with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, quantities, quality, cost, and schedule
  • • Responsible for working in an integrated 3D environment and producing design calculations, reports, specifications, evaluation reports, technical recommendations, and 3D models and 2D drawings as per project requirements
  • • Producing and maintaining technical and engineering deliverables using 2D and 3D engineering software as required
  • • Facilitating the sharing of technical expertise across projects, including archival of project documents
  • • Providing and/or participating in training for resources assigned to the project
  • • Performing conceptual layout work
  • • Developing design details, preparing/extracting drawings, and checking the deliverables prior to release
  • • Ensuring coordination with engineers within the discipline and with other disciplines
  • • Coordinating and reviewing clash detection in an integrated model with other discipline engineers and resolving issues if any
  • • Participating in formal engineering review processes
  • • Reviewing vendor drawings and documents, including archival and inputs to other disciplines
  • • Representing the discipline during site visits/client meetings as felt necessary by PE/PM
  • • Supporting the technology team/project team for development and automation works as required
