Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and operating automated patch, vulnerability, and configuration compliance frameworks across Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) endpoints.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RHEL system administration and automation, with advanced proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and YAML. Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Red Hat Satellite is also highly desirable.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Patch Management: Design and implement automated patch remediation for RHEL 7/8/9 systems, develop and maintain scripts for compliance enforcement, schedule and deploy OS and application patches, integrate patch management with enterprise dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Systems Integration & Compliance: Integrate with enterprise tools, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, generate audit-ready reports and dashboards for patch status and vulnerability closure.
  • Monitoring & Incident Response: Real-time monitoring of patch management systems for uptime and performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure minimal disruption during remediation cycles, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Linux system administration and automation, proven experience in enterprise patch management and compliance frameworks.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in RHEL 7/8/9, strong scripting skills: Bash, Python, YAML, experience with automation tools: Ansible, Red Hat Satellite, familiarity with integration protocols: SNMP, WinRM, SSH.
