Job Title

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Senior Hosting Product Specialist. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability of our products and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

About The Role

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and a passion for problem-solving. You will work closely with internal groups to resolve production site issues and ensure that our customers receive timely support.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor product stability using internal tools
  • Handle L1/L2 support for hosting products
  • Respond to incidents, troubleshoot, and fix issues
  • Escalate issues as per policies/procedures
  • Collaborate with internal/external groups to resolve production site issues
  • Communicate effectively on tickets, phone calls, and emails
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency in resolving issues
  • Build automation workflows to automate repeated issues
  • Work with infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain Linux/Windows servers
  • Ensure SLAs and operational standards are met
  • Raise tickets to resolve recurrent problems, alerts, and follow up on escalated issues
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Graduate degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems, including shell scripting, system rescue, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with Windows 2000/2003/2008, NTFS, and Event logs
  • Fundamentals of DNS, Networking, TCP/UDP, IP Routing, HA, and Load Balancing
  • Knowledge of Application Protocols such as SMTP, HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP
Bonus Skills
  • Understanding of Cloud
  • Familiarity with Systems/Hardware such as RAID, LOM/IPMI/IP KVMs, Dell Hardware
  • Knowledge of Windows WMI, Powershell/VB scripts, MS-SQL Fundamentals
  • Familiarity with Applications such as Postfix/qmail/Exim, Database Systems (MySQL/Postgres), Nginx/Apache
  • Knowledge of Tools/Utilities such as Nagios, DHCP, Kickstart/Cobbler, Yum, RPM, GIT/SVN
