Automation Test Engineer Role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in building automation frameworks with JavaScript/TypeScript and hands-on expertise in Playwright and/or Cypress for end-to-end testing.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks for both mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications using Playwright or Cypress.
  • Other key responsibilities include developing scalable mobile automation tests (e.g., with Appium or native mobile tools), writing clean, maintainable automation scripts in JavaScript/TypeScript, implementing BDD scenarios using Cucumber/Gherkin (if required), and integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Candidates should also have solid experience in conducting API and integration test automation using relevant tools.
  • A strong understanding of testing methodologies: functional, regression, smoke, integration is essential for this role.
  • Additionally, the ability to work in Agile teams and possess strong communication skills is crucial.

Eligibility Criteria

  • 4+ years building automation frameworks with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Hands-on expertise in Playwright and/or Cypress for end-to-end testing.
  • Solid experience in mobile automation, preferably using Appium or equivalent tool.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies: functional, regression, smoke, integration.
  • Proficient in writing BDD scenarios (if tech stack includes Gherkin/Cucumber).
  • Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid knowledge of REST API testing tools (Postman, JMeter, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work in Agile teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision.
