Portfolio and Project Management Specialist

About this role:

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio and Project Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for configuring and administering our portfolio management system, ensuring seamless integration with various enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure portfolio management modules, including cost classes, coding structures, WBS, timesheets, budgets, forecasting, workflows, change controls, and governance templates.
  • Establish baselines, progress capture, EACEVM calculations, variance analysis, and implement standardized monthly cycle forecast accruals.
  • Orchestrate integrations between our portfolio management system and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, CRM, SFDC schedulers, Primavera P6MS Project, EDW Snowflake IICS) to enable single-source reporting.
  • Build portfolio and project dashboards, KPIs, cost schedule performance, funding vs actuals, leveraging reports align to reporting cadences.
  • Translate governance into portfolio management processes, gates, approvals, auditability, author SOPs, Runbooks, and conduct user training.
  • Engage program leads, finance controllers, PMs, and data teams, manage change requests and cutovers aligned to Service Level Agreements deliverables.

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years in PPM, Project Controls, 3 years hands-on portfolio management system configuration and administration.
  • Strong cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and Earned Value Management knowledge, monthly close processes.
  • Proven integration experience with SAP, SFDC, EDW Snowflake, IICS, or similar ETL ability to define source to portfolio management mappings.
  • Reporting skills, native portfolio management system, plus Power BI, Tableau for enterprise distribution.
  • Solid SQL data modeling fundamentals, Agile delivery, Scrum, SAFe.
