Job Summary:

This is an opportunity to work as a systems architect and technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing high-traffic microservices and infrastructure with excellent troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience in containerized environments using Docker/containerd and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency with helm and service mesh like Istio, Linkerd.
  • Extensive experience with Linux administration, DNS, TCP/IP, UDP, GRPC, Routing, and Load Balancing.
  • Expertise in GitOps, Infrastructure as a Code tool Terraform, and Configuration Management tools Chef, Puppet, Saltstack, Ansible.
  • Expertise in Google Cloud (GCP) and/or other relevant Cloud Infrastructure solutions like AWS or Azure.
  • Experience in building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab, Spinnaker, Argo.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Owning end-to-end Availability, Performance, Capacity of applications and infrastructure.
  • Creating/maintaining observability with Prometheus/New Relic/ELK/Loki.
  • Providing 24X7 infra & app support, building processes, and documenting knowledge.
  • Mentor and train L1 engineers to improve app and infra support processes.
  • Managing application deployment & GKE platforms for automation and improvement.
  • Creating, managing, and maintaining datastores & data platform infrastructure using IaC.
  • Owning and onboarding new applications with production readiness review processes.
  • Managing SLO/Error Budgets/Alerts and performing root cause analysis for production errors.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in managing high traffic, large-scale microservices, and infrastructure with excellent troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and services.
  • Experience in building and deploying containerized environments.
  • Proficiency in Linux administration and networking protocols.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior engineers.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
