Senior Communications Lead

As a key member of the Scientific Communication team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a high-performing team to develop and implement strategic scientific communications plans that drive business results.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive scientific communications strategies aligned with product and franchise goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to create high-quality content, including publications, global medical content, payer-relevant content, and compendia.
  • Ensure review and approval of content through relevant SOPs and compliant processes.
  • Evolve procedures and systems to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Partner with content production teams to deploy content globally and regionally.
  • Collaborate with Med Info to develop and adhere to processes for responding to inquiries and conducting literature surveillance.
  • Work with Global Learning and Performance to support annual strategy and execution of training programs for Therapeutic Area staff.
  • Manage vendors and agency partnerships, allocating resources effectively.

Key Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a science field (Doctorate/Masters/Bachelors) with 18-23 years of experience in the Pharma Industry.
  • 4+ years of global publication or medical communications experience.
  • 4+ years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing resource allocation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical commercialization processes and regulatory/legal guidelines affecting prescription product promotion.
  • Knowledge and experience with multi-channel scientific platforms and communications.
  • Aptitude in writing and presenting scientific and clinical data.
  • Knowledge of publication guidelines and transparency standards (ICMJE, current Good Publication Practice).
  • Demonstrated track record of strategic execution in a matrix environment with limited supervision.
