Electronics Engineer - Strategic Sourcing

To drive excellence in procurement and supply chain management, we seek an Electronics Engineer with expertise in strategic sourcing electronics. As a key player in our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring project success by reviewing and analyzing Bills of Materials, sourcing electronic components globally, building vendor relationships, and negotiating pricing.

  • Review and analyze Bills of Materials to generate accurate quotes for prototype and bulk production.
  • SOURCE active and passive components, PCBs, and electronic parts worldwide.
  • Build and manage vendor relationships; evaluate supplier performance and reliability.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules to ensure project completion.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to align procurement with project timelines.
  • Utilize software tools (ERP or equivalent) to manage procurement processes and maintain accurate data.
  • Monitor market trends, component availability, and price fluctuations to minimize risk and optimize sourcing.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing/procurement within the EMS sector.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic components, BOM-based quoting, and global sourcing strategies.
  • Familiarity with procurement software tools (ERP or similar).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
  • Exposure to international sourcing and import/export regulations.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as RoHS, IPC, and ISO.
