Technical Commissioning Engineer

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborating with international teams and clients. As a Technical Commissioning Engineer, you will oversee the installation of Energy Storage structures and ensure compliance with set standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support during mechanical and electrical tasks throughout the commissioning phase of Energy Storage Projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between clients on-site, including liaising with subcontractors when necessary.
  • Collaborate with various professionals to implement a detailed commissioning schedule, working closely with overseas colleagues.
  • Generate daily and weekly reports, monitoring and addressing any deviations from the planned schedule.
  • Engage in follow-up meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, coordinating with professionals from diverse disciplines.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Possess 2-3 years of experience as an Energy Storage Service Engineer with hands-on site experience.
  2. Handle commissioning, pre and post-commissioning tests, and performance test verification.
  3. Manage spare parts inventory, maintaining records and updating inventory. Notify service managers about spare part needs and estimated quantities based on failure rates.
  4. Ensure safekeeping of tools.
  5. Oversee and assign tasks to third-party service partner technicians, ensuring all work is documented and reported to higher management.

Requirements:

  • Electrical or Electronics Engineer (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years of technical experience in electrical projects (substations, power lines, or LV/MV cables). Experience with Energy Storage infrastructure (BESS) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of BESS PCS and related supporting and subcomponents.
  • Solid experience in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
