Financial Management and Control Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting, auditing, and treasury functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Monthly Financial Accounts: The ideal candidate will prepare accurate and timely monthly financial accounts, including journal postings, accruals, prepayments, fixed asset and depreciation accounting.
  • Reconciliation of P&L and Balance Sheet: The Financial Controller will reconcile the company's P&L and Balance Sheet with Hyperion Financial Management on a monthly basis.
  • Treasury Operations: This role involves managing cash flow, recognizing FX remittances, and implementing FX hedging strategies.
  • Annual Internal & Statutory Audit: The successful candidate will lead the annual internal and statutory audit function, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Technical Assistance: The Financial Controller will provide technical assistance to the Finance Head on the latest amendments, changes in laws, and accounting policies and practices.
  • Inter-Company Reconciliations: The candidate will prepare monthly balance sheet and inter-company reconciliations, along with supporting schedules.
  • Tax Compliance: Experience in filing income tax, GST, and transfer pricing returns is essential, as well as payment of advance tax, GST, and withholding tax.
  • Capital Expenditure Oversight: The Financial Controller will oversee capital expenditure and maintain accurate asset records and reporting.
  • Internal Controls: Adherence to internal controls and regular review is crucial in this role.
  • Collaboration: The successful candidate will work cohesively with the FPA, AP, Legal, and other finance functions to complement them.
  • Accounting Policies: Participation in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies, procedures, and SOPs, including the review and implementation of process and system changes.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant: A qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 12-15 years post-qualification experience within a similar role.
  • ERP System Experience: Hands-on experience with major ERP systems (Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • GAAP Knowledge: Well-versed in US GAAP, IND AS, Income Tax Act, and Companies Act.
  • Analytical Skills: Solid analytical skills along with commercial and business awareness.
  • Goal-Oriented Individual: A highly goal-oriented individual with a strict focus on timely delivery of work.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate with teams when required to collate data related to inventory processing and tax reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
