Technical Superintendent Job Opportunity

The company is seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to manage the technical and operational performance of 3-4 merchant vessels. The role ensures safe and efficient operations of the company's vessels, their routine and preventive maintenance, and compliance with international marine requirements.

This position requires a strong background in marine engineering, with experience as a Chief Engineer on Merchant Vessels. Additionally, at least three years of experience as a technical superintendent are necessary for this role.

A key aspect of this job is to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance. This includes implementing procedures to prevent accidents and ensuring that all necessary safety protocols are in place.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of technical and managerial skills, with the ability to link resources to excellent service delivery and operational results. They will also be people-oriented and passionate about developing shipboard teams.

  • Marine Engineer qualification; degree in business or related discipline advantageous
  • Experience as a Chief Engineer on Merchant Vessels
  • At least three years of experience as a technical superintendent
  • Proven technical and managerial skills in linking resources to excellent service delivery and operational results
  • People-oriented and passionate about developing shipboard teams
  • Business acumen with budgetary responsibilities for multiple vessels
  • Highly analytical with proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Able to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Updated with latest regulatory requirements and implementation
