Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Developer to join our team. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database objects, optimizing T-SQL queries, and supporting cross-platform integration with Oracle databases.

Key responsibilities include building and maintaining ETL pipelines, implementing and monitoring database security, backup, recovery, and high availability. Troubleshooting and resolving performance issues, blocking/deadlocks, and optimizing resource utilization are also critical tasks.

Collaboration with application developers to design normalized and scalable data structures is essential. Supporting database upgrades, migrations, and integrations between SQL Server and Oracle is also required.

  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers).
  • Optimize T-SQL queries, indexes, and execution plans for high performance.
  • Support cross-platform integration with Oracle databases (PL/SQL).
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines (primarily using SSIS; Oracle ETL exposure is a plus).
  • Implement and monitor database security, backup, recovery, and high availability (Always On Availability Groups, clustering).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, blocking/deadlocks, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with application developers to design normalized and scalable data structures.
  • Support database upgrades, migrations, and integrations between SQL Server and Oracle.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6–7 years of total IT experience with 5–6 years in SQL Server database development.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
  • Hands-on T-SQL development (stored procedures, triggers, functions, views).
  • Proven skills in performance tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL (procedures, packages, functions).
  • Hands-on experience with SSIS or equivalent ETL tools.
  • Strong knowledge of backup/recovery strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience with database version control and CI/CD deployment practices.
