**Senior Redshift Expert Wanted**

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Redshift professional to join our team and help our clients successfully implement, optimize, and scale their AWS Redshift environments.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the review and validation of multiple AWS Redshift cluster architectures
  • Validate sizing assumptions and provide expert right-sizing recommendations
  • Develop and implement operational excellence best practices (runbooks, monitoring, alerting)
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and health metrics for Redshift platforms
  • Analyze and optimize query performance (workload patterns, schema design, tuning)
  • Implement schema governance and define change management/version control processes
  • Define a clear, auditable process for deploying new tables, columns, and views
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years in data engineering or database administration with deep expertise in AWS Redshift
  • Proven experience in cluster architecture review, sizing, and right-sizing recommendations
  • Strong background in query performance tuning, schema optimization, and workload management
  • Expert-level knowledge of Redshift fundamentals: table design (Distribution and Sort Keys), WLM tuning, vacuum operations, concurrency scaling
  • Ability to develop and implement operational best practices (runbooks, monitoring, alerting)
  • Demonstrated expertise in schema governance, version control, and structured change management
  • Excellent communication and consultative skills—able to clearly articulate solutions to technical and business stakeholders
  • Experience working in client-facing roles within professional services, consulting, or enterprise environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of strategic outcomes—not just tactical tasks
