Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced database developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MySQL Enterprise Versions and will be responsible for performing upgrades, applying patches, and configuring/troubleshooting the MySQL Enterprise Monitor (MEM).

The successful candidate will also be expected to have hands-on experience with migration from MySQL to Maria and vice-versa, as well as configuration and troubleshooting of Oracle Enterprise Monitor (OEM). Additionally, they will need to have a strong hold on MySQL Enterprise backups and logical backups (mysqldump/mysqlpump), InnoDB Cluster & Master-Slave replication configurations & troubleshooting, MySQL Enterprise Audit, Encryption & keyring.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experienced with MySQL Enterprise Versions
  • Hands-on experience with migration from MySQL to Maria and vice-versa
  • Configuring/troubleshooting MySQL Enterprise Monitor (MEM) and Oracle Enterprise Monitor (OEM)
  • Strong hold on MySQL Enterprise backups and logical backups (mysqldump/mysqlpump)
  • InnoDB Cluster & Master-Slave replication configurations & troubleshooting
  • MySQL Enterprise Audit, Encryption & keyring
  • Open source HA tools like keepalived/tungstun
  • Collaborate with team to develop high performance database functionalities; ability to resolve MySQL Performance Issues
  • Extensive exposure to public cloud (AWS/Azure) to provide solutions and troubleshoot issues
  • Knowledge of MariaDB & NoSQL database is an added advantage
  • Good understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
  • User management, space management & shell scripting
  • CLOSE COORDINATION AND PLANNING WITH CLIENT AND PROJECT SUB-TEAMS
  • GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS TO WORK WITH FOREIGN CLIENTS
