As a key member of our engineering team, we are seeking an experienced Design Engineer Closures to join us.

  • This individual will be responsible for designing and developing vehicle closure mechanisms including latches, window regulators, check straps, outer door handles, locks, and their related kinematics using CAD software (typically CATIA).

The successful candidate will have expertise in CAD (e.g., CATIA V5/SolidWorks) and detailed engineering analysis, as well as knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, validation, and simulation tools.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing high-quality vehicle closure mechanisms that meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure effective design implementation.
  • Conducting thorough evaluations and testing of designs through simulation and physical prototypes to guarantee robust function, manufacturability, safety, and durability.
  • Managing the full lifecycle of components from concept to production, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participating in design reviews and providing technical feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and creating best-practices documentation or process improvement initiatives.
