At HCL Software, we are looking for a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and be able to design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure architectures.

We are seeking someone with a strong background in AWS, Microsoft Azure, and GCP, as well as experience with containerized environments and networking principles.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and deploying cloud infrastructure solutions
  • Managing and operating scalable and highly available architectures
  • Selecting the appropriate services based on compute, data, or security requirements
  • Migrating on-premises workloads to cloud service providers
  • Writing infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or YAML

Preferred skills include:

  • Proficiency in one of the three major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Intermediate knowledge of the other two platforms
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet/Chef
  • Strong notions of security best practices and experience with IAM policies and roles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and ability to communicate IT concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities include:

  • Translating application requirements into cloud architecture/infrastructure
  • Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant architectures
  • Capability to select the appropriate services based on compute, data, or security requirements
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, Active Directory, and firewalls)
  • Delivering and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices

Requirements include:

  • 4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure support engineering
  • Strong background in AWS, Microsoft Azure, and GCP
  • Experience with containerized environments and networking principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and ability to communicate IT concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
