Executive Importer

We are seeking an experienced Executive Importer to join our team. As an Executive Importer, you will be responsible for managing the import process from start to finish, ensuring that all shipments are properly documented and comply with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Documentation: Prepare export invoices, packing lists, bill of lading drafts, and other related documents.
  • Insurance Certificates: Generate insurance certificates through online portals and maintain sufficient insured amounts.
  • Hazardous Cargo: Understand Haz Class, Packing Groups, and prepare Dangerous Goods Declarations.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with factories, CHAs, forwarders, shipping lines, and customers.
  • Negotiations: Negotiate air or sea freight with forwarders, shipping lines, or CHAs.
  • Checklists and Drafts: Check and approve SB checklists, BOE checklists, AWB drafts, and BL drafts.
  • Flight and Vessel Booking: Coordinate with freight forwarders for flight and vessel booking.
  • Courier Shipments: Arrange courier shipments through DHL or FedEx.
  • Letter of Credit: Understand Letter of Credit (LC) shipments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regular review and understanding of SCOMET and Narcotics requirements for every shipment.
  • Customer Queries: Resolve queries from export customers promptly and efficiently.
  • Transportation: Arrange transport for FCL shipments and factory stuffing.
  • Preferential COOs: Apply for Preferential & Non-preferential COOs online.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Graduation degree.
  • Experience: 3+ years experience in chemical handling, preferably hazardous cargo.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, good communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
