Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining an efficient operation by constantly analyzing quality and cost of food production.

The Sous Chef will work closely with the senior management to ensure that all kitchen operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining set standards of quality and presentation in all dishes served
  • Providing ongoing training and support to junior chefs
  • Ensuring safe and quality food products at all times
  • Developing and implementing new recipes and menu items
  • Working effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality results

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced culinary skills and experience
  • Minimum of 8 years in the profession (Quality Hotels and Restaurants)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role in a well-recognized luxury hospitality establishment or upscale cruise line
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Ability to lead and make decisions
  • Good administrative skills
  • Experienced in coaching subordinates
  • Cost and quality conscious
