Job Description:

Overview

As a highly skilled medical professional specializing in anesthesia services and critical care management, you will be responsible for assessing patients, administering anesthesia, and overseeing their recovery in the critical care unit.

  • Conduct comprehensive pre-operative evaluations of patients to determine their fitness for anesthesia and surgery.
  • Administer various types of anesthesia, including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and monitored anesthesia care, tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia depth during surgery to ensure safety and proper anesthesia levels.
  • Implement effective pain management strategies during and after surgery to minimize discomfort and promote faster recovery.
  • Provide expert critical care management to patients in the intensive care unit (ICU), including those with severe medical conditions or post-surgery complications.
  • Oversee patients' recovery in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and address any immediate post-operative issues.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams, intensivists, nurses, and other medical specialists to optimize patient care outcomes.
  • Be prepared to handle emergency situations, including cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis, and airway management.
  • Education is also provided about the anesthesia process, critical care interventions, and post-operative care instructions.
