Job Summary:

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of daily coding unit operations including workload, staffing, hiring, and performance appraisals.
  • Development and implementation of long-range and short-term goals, objectives, plans, and programs.
  • Budget planning, development, and control including staffing costs, capital equipment, and operations.
  • Evaluation of innovations and changes in programs, policies, and procedures for the coding unit.
  • Design and implementation of systems to improve data accessibility, identify, assess, and resolve problems.
  • Coding audit efforts, monitoring of coding accuracy, and reporting non-compliance issues.

The ideal candidate will possess over 17+ years of medical coding experience with a proven track record of managing large teams. Strong leadership capabilities, client handling experience, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry are essential.

Key Requirements:

  • Certification from AAPC or AHIMA.
