Senior Medical Coder Job Opportunity

The role of a Senior Medical Coder is a critical position in the healthcare industry, requiring extensive knowledge and experience in medical record coding. As a Senior Medical Coder, you will be responsible for reviewing and coding medical records with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in coding medical records for Inpatient and Outpatient Surgical Specialties, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Cardiology, Spine, Oral, etc.
  • Ability to assign ICD-10-CM & PCS diagnoses and procedure codes correctly and completely.
  • Advanced technical knowledge in specific inpatient and outpatient surgical and medical specialties as assigned.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience in researching and applying coding rules and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and various EMR systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Education: Science Graduate or Postgraduate.
  • Credentials: Current AHIMA/AAPC certificate(s).
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written proficiency in English.
