Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Vetting Manager.

The selected candidate will lead and manage our centralized Vetting Desk operations, ensuring timely and consistent administration, coordination, and closure of RightShip inspections and findings across our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the booking, scheduling, and administrative management of approximately 180-200 RightShip inspections annually, adhering to regulatory timelines.
  • Lead a team responsible for inspection coordination, documentation, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action plan (CAP) follow-ups.
  • Ensure consistency and quality standards across the vetting process, driving fleetwide improvements, particularly in critical finding areas such as ISM System, Machinery, and Mooring.
  • Liaise with ship masters, chief engineers, business units, and RightShip for smooth communication and issue resolution.
  • Analyze inspection data and trends to identify recurring issues and recommend preventive actions.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and staff training programs related to RightShip compliance.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards for senior management on inspection status, findings trends, safety score progress, and risk mitigation.
  • Represent the company in audits, RightShip reviews, and external vetting-related initiatives as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong technical knowledge of international shipping regulations, vetting procedures, and safety management systems (ISM).
  • Prior experience with data trend analysis, RCA, and CAP processes.
  • Extensive experience in managing vettings or inspections or audits or experience in managing vessels - dry or tanker vessels.
Professional Requirements:
  • Master Mariner or Chief Engineer certification mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in ship management, vetting, or maritime operations, with exposure to RightShip or equivalent vetting processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
