The Team Lead SOX Compliance will support our Global SOX Compliance program and other initiatives, collaborating with the Global/Regional SOX teams and process/control owners across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate the Global SOX Compliance Program to generate a quantifiable return for the business.
  2. Transform the function by participating in department initiatives to build talent, improve services, and foster productive stakeholder relationships.
  3. Invest in personal development through engagement in the Global Internal Audit Development Program.
  4. Support strategic business activities as requested by management.
  5. Contribute to SOX planning, scoping exercises, and ensure timely completion of SOX testing.
  6. Identify, validate, and communicate control deficiencies, developing remediation plans in collaboration with process/control owners.
  7. Collaborate with internal and external groups on matters related to SOX and internal controls over financial reporting.
  8. Support the Global SOX PMO and standardize key controls to evaluate potential financial reporting risks.
  9. Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including management, external auditors, and Global Internal Audit Leadership Team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role with at least 2 years of SOX experience as a lead or above.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIA, CA, CMA, or MBA Finance) or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of processes and controls related to Financial Reporting, Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Commodity Trading, Treasury, Tax, Plant, Property & Equipment, Inventory, HR Payroll, etc.
  • Strong business and risk acumen.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with personnel at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team of at least 2-3 members.
