We are seeking a skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our Cloud Platform team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on challenging problems involving cutting-edge technologies and architectural patterns. This is a high-impact role with immense growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of complicated software projects.
  • Write clean, maintainable code, and perform peer code reviews.
  • Solve scale, integration, and architectural problems.
  • Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot applications in a Kubernetes ecosystem.
  • Perform rotating on-call duties as part of production support.

Requirements:

  • Education: BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 7+ years of industry experience in writing production code.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering complicated software projects.
  • High proficiency in writing idiomatic code, preferably in Java, Scala, Node.js, or Rust.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures on AWS or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
  • Fundamental understanding of computer networking, operating systems, and databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Spark, Akka, or NestJS is a plus.
