Cloud Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will design, implement and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Chef and Ruby for configuration management, as well as proficiency in AWS cloud services and architecture.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform
  • Developing and maintaining configuration management using Chef, Ansible, and Ruby
  • Automating CI/CD pipelines and integrations using Jenkins and related DevOps tools
  • Creating and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) for consistent and repeatable deployments
  • Developing scripts and automation tools using Python to streamline operations and support self-service capabilities
  • Containerizing applications using Docker and managing container lifecycle
  • Supporting application migration to cloud environments, ensuring minimal downtime and high reliability
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

The requirements for this role include:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Chef and Ruby for configuration management
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud services and architecture
  • Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
  • Solid understanding of Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline integrations
  • Scripting experience with Python
  • Experience with Ansible for automation and orchestration
  • Proficiency in Docker for containerization
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements
  • Proven experience in application migration to cloud platforms
