Job Overview :

As a cloud architecture expert, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing scalable solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We are seeking an accomplished architect to lead our cloud infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Developing and maintaining GCP cloud environments, including compute, storage, networking, and security components.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services.
  • Designing and implementing API, APIMs, ESB, and product-based hybrid implementations for medium to large-scale applications.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest GCP services, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Extensive knowledge of GCP Services: Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions across a broad range of Google Cloud Platform services.
  • Compute: Strong understanding of Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, App Engine.
  • Networking: In-depth knowledge of VPC, Load Balancing, Cloud CDN, Cloud DNS, Cloud VPN, Interconnect.
  • Storage & Databases: Expertise in Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Cloud Spanner, Firestore, Bigtable, Memorystore.
  • Security: Comprehensive understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Key Management Service (KMS), Secret Manager, Security Command Center.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging.
  • Programming & Scripting: Strong proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages for cloud automation and application development: Python, Java, or Go.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Deep expertise with Kubernetes and Docker for deploying and managing containerized applications. Experience with GKE is essential.
  • CICD Tools & Practices: Proven experience in designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using cloud-native tools like Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and familiarity with other industry-standard tools (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
  • Database Expertise: Solid understanding of both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cloud SQL) and NoSQL (e.g., Firestore, MongoDB, Cassandra) databases, including their strengths, weaknesses, and optimal use cases.
  • Security Fundamentals: Comprehensive understanding of cloud security best practices, identity management (IAM), access controls, network security (VPC, firewalls), and data encryption.

Preferred Skills :

  • GCP Certifications: Holding a current GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification is highly advantageous. Other relevant certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Data Engineer, Professional DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
  • Data & Analytics: Familiarity with GCP's data analytics services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Data Catalog.
  • Migration Experience: Experience in migrating on-premise or other cloud environments to GCP.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
