Job Title: BMS Hardware Architect

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Architect to design and develop innovative solutions for our Building Management System (BMS) hardware. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and a proven track record of designing and developing state-of-the-art BMS HW systems for energy storage applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing BMS HW systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of modules/systems, providing solutions to complex use cases on a day-to-day basis, and owning the responsibility of delivering high-quality systems on-time.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • BE/BTech/MTech in Electrical Engineering
  • 12-14 years of experience in developing BMS for energy storage/ESS
  • Demonstrated experience in architecting Power Electronics concepts for BMS
  • Strong design knowledge of Digital circuit design, Analog circuit design, ADC, DACs, OP Amps, Micro-processors, Micro-controllers & DSPs, etc.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory requirements for Li-ion batteries for Energy storage application such as UL9540/UL1973/IEC62619/IEC 60730, etc
  • Knowledge of PCB layout constraints
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Analog Front End circuit design for Li-ion batteries
  • Demonstrated experience using simulation tools (for example P-Spice, Matlab, Mathcad)
  • Experience with FMEA and Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience working with various Sensing Technologies (ex: Temp Sensor, Voltage sensor, etc.)
  • Experience working with hardware peripherals and communication ckt design .
  • Experience in Power Supply Design
  • Experience working with MOSFET driving,
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of Safety Regulatory standards like IEC61508, ISO26262 when building HW designs)
  • Contactors and Relays
  • Working knowledge of safety-critical features like charge control, thermal control, fault detection, and diagnostics for battery and energy products
