Job Overview

We are a pioneering automotive IoT startup creating innovative hardware products that bridge the gap between the physical and digital worlds. Our multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and product managers is working at the intersection of embedded systems, wireless connectivity, and user-centric innovation.

This role requires a seasoned Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer to join our agile hardware team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in PCB design and development, with experience in preparing documents for PCB assembly and fabrication using CAD software.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design layouts for high-speed reliable circuits, analyze and resolve design-related issues, and provide support to manufacturing teams.

In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Printed Circuit Boards: Create efficient and effective PCB designs that meet customer specifications and engineering requirements.
  • Prepare Documents for PCB Assembly and Fabrication: Utilize CAD software to create detailed documents for PCB assembly and fabrication, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
  • Analyze and Resolve Design-Related Issues: Identify and troubleshoot design-related problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to find solutions.
  • Provide Support to Manufacturing Teams: Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production processes and resolve any issues that may arise.
Qualifications
  • Strong Knowledge of PCBs: Possess in-depth knowledge of printed circuit boards, including design principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Work Experience with Software: Have experience working with CAD software, such as OrCAD or Altium.
  • Clear Understanding of PCB Layer Stack Up: Understand the importance of layer stack up in PCB design and its impact on overall performance.
  • Knowledge of Common PCB Design Rules: Familiarity with standard PCB design rules and guidelines.
  • Experience Working with Engineering Drawings: Skilled in creating and interpreting engineering drawings.
