Overview

The role of the Sales Manager is to lead sales teams in achieving revenue growth through effective planning, deployment, and management of sales strategies. This involves developing a comprehensive sales strategy that identifies channels for direct sales based on existing synergistic lines of business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and drive revenue growth.
  2. Formulate sales policies, practices, and procedures that align with company goals.
  3. Perform sales activities on major accounts, negotiate sales price and discounts, and define and implement sales processes.
  4. Accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams, provide quarterly results assessments of sales staff productivity, and coordinate company resources for efficient sales results.
  5. Recruit, develop, and retain staff, supervise team performance, and ensure annual appraisals and informal performance reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, including 5 years in leadership positions.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with Marketing specialization is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively communicate with project team members or contractors.
