Job Title:

Senior High Performance Computing Systems Engineer

Job Description:

The role of Senior High Performance Computing Systems Engineer involves providing expert-level support for the maintenance and management of HPC clusters. This includes administration, user account management, creation and maintenance of AMI images, installation and configuration of Linux operating systems, and coordination with providers for necessary components and services.

Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining necessary compliance controls, conducting regular audits, and implementing corrective actions as required. They will also collaborate with other IT professionals to integrate new technologies into the existing infrastructure.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Progressive experience in HPC system administration, preferably in a Redhat/CentOS Linux environment is essential. The candidate should have expertise in AWS Cloud formation templates, node provisioning tools like Werewolf, job schedulers such as Slurm or LSF, and AWS Managed Active Directory support and management.

A strong understanding of system performance monitoring and troubleshooting is also required. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
