Lead Database Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Database Developer to lead our technology team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing databases to ensure high performance and availability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing database schemas that represent and support business processes.
  • Developing and maintaining database architecture that supports scalability and high availability.
  • Optimizing database systems for performance efficiency. Monitoring database performance and adjusting parameters for optimal database speed.
  • Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
  • Running diagnostic tests and quality assurance procedures.
  • Documenting processes, systems, and their associated configurations.
  • Working with development teams to develop and maintain procedures for database backup and recovery.

Requirements

- At least 8 years of experience in NoSQL databases management such as MongoDB (Primary), Azure CosmosDB, and AWS DocumentDB, performance tuning, and architecture design.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- Proven work experience as a MongoDB/Cosmos/DocumentDB Performance, Data Modelling (Document), and Architecture Expert.

- Experience with database architecture and design to support application development projects.

- Knowledge of MongoDB/Cosmos/DocumentDB features such as Sharding and Replication.

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.

- Experience with both on-premises and cloud-based database hosting.
