Database Migration Expert
Job Description We are seeking a skilled Database Migration Specialist to architect and execute complex database migration strategies for leading corporations worldwide. As a technical leader, you will design and implement high-performance, scalable database solutions optimized for cloud environments, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Core Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise database platforms, including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. You will lead technical assessments of complex database landscapes and develop comprehensive migration roadmaps. Your responsibilities will include designing zero-downtime migration strategies for business-critical database systems, implementing advanced database migration solutions using platform-native tools, and optimizing database performance through sophisticated schema design.

  • Design and architect enterprise-scale database migration solutions from on-premises and multi-cloud environments
  • Lead technical assessments of complex database landscapes and develop comprehensive migration roadmaps

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need 8+ years of database architecture experience with 5+ years in cloud database migrations. You must have a strong background in data modeling and database design, as well as expertise in database monitoring and management tools. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is required. Professional certifications such as Google Professional Data Engineer or AWS Database Specialty are highly desirable.

  • 8+ years of database architecture experience with 5+ years in cloud database migrations
  • Deep expertise in enterprise database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Proven experience with cloud-native database services across major cloud providers
  • Strong background in data modeling and database design
