Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing databases, ensuring their proper maintenance, and managing deployments.

This role involves working closely with the security team to ensure database security, managing database migrations between servers and versions, troubleshooting and resolving any issues, and collaborating with other IT team members to ensure system availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Design and Implementation: Design and implement SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB databases, ensuring they meet business requirements and are properly maintained.
  • Deployment Management: Manage deployments, ensure best practices are followed, and collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Security and Compliance: Work with the security team to ensure database security, manage access permissions, and implement row-level security in Power BI.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with databases, work with vendor support on complex issues, and provide Power BI support to reporting team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Database Administration: Excellent knowledge of database administration, design, and maintenance for SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • Database Migrations: Experience with database migrations and deployments, including managing changes to database schema and data.
  • Power BI: Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling, as well as creating interactive dashboards and visualizations.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
