Business Cost Analyst Job Description

Overview:

The Business Cost Analyst will play a key role in helping our organization make informed decisions by analyzing and managing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and analyze data to determine costs of business activities, identify areas for cost savings and develop recommendations to implement them.
  2. Collect and record data on raw materials, manufacturing methods and services provided, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  3. Analyze changes in costs and prepare reports for management, highlighting trends and opportunities for improvement.
  4. Record cost information for expenditure control, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  5. Conduct audits and prepare reports on cost variations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  6. Assist in month-end close of the General Ledger, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements.
  7. Conduct physical inventories and reconcile them with books, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Requirements:

  • Ability to plan and analyze data, including experience with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
