Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Costing Executive / Cost Accountant .The ideal candidate should be CMA Qualified or CMA Inter (pursuing) with a strong understanding of cost accounting principles, especially in a heavy manufacturing setup. This role will be responsible for analyzing, controlling, and reporting cost-related data to support operational efficiency and profitability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost sheets for raw material consumption, process costs, and overhead absorption.
  • Conduct variance analysis on material usage, production efficiency, energy consumption, and overheads.
  • Track and analyze conversion costs including power, fuel, labor, and depreciation.
  • Maintain records related to production costing, by-products, scrap and waste management.
  • Work with production and operations teams to monitor cost centers and identify areas for cost reduction.
  • Support in preparation of monthly cost reports, inventory valuation, and cost audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Cost Accounting Standards.
  • Assist in annual budgeting, Estimation and forecasting processes.

Requirements:

  • CMA Qualified or CMA Inter (with at least one group cleared).
  • Knowledge of process costing and job costing in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with iron and steel production processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of ERP systems like SAP.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
  • 03 years of experience in a cost accounting role, preferably in iron & steel, metal processing, or heavy manufacturing.
  • Internship or project experience in cost analysis or plant finance will be an added advantage for CMA Inter applicants.
