Production Supervisor

Description

The Production Supervisor will oversee the activities of a production team to ensure efficient and timely production while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. To achieve this goal, the supervisor must possess exceptional leadership skills and be able to motivate team members to work towards common objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Team Supervision: The supervisor will supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers, monitor technicians' performance, provide coaching and guidance as necessary, schedule work assignments, and ensure proper staffing levels.
  • Production Management: The supervisor will oversee the production process to ensure production targets are met, monitor production schedules, adjust workloads as needed to meet deadlines, and prepare equipment and device tags.
  • Quality Control: The supervisor will maintain high standards of product quality, coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team for regular inspections, quality checks, and punch closing, address any quality issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary in coordination with the QC team.
  • Safety and Compliance: The supervisor will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promote a safe working environment, enforce safety policies, conduct regular safety meetings, and training sessions.
  • Process Improvement: The supervisor will identify opportunities for process improvements, implement changes to increase efficiency, work with management to develop and implement production strategies, analyze production data, and prepare reports on performance.
  • Resource Management: The supervisor will manage inventory levels, coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of necessary materials, maintain equipment and machinery in good working condition, and coordinate maintenance and repair activities as needed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of experience in a production environment.
  • Proven track record in supervising production teams.
  • Proven experience in managing production schedules and meeting production targets.
  • Experienced in coordinating maintenance and repair activities.
