A PMS analyst plays a vital role in the shipping industry by analyzing various aspects of vessel performance and maintenance systems. The analyst must have a deep understanding of enterprise computing needs and be able to identify areas for improvement.

To excel in this position, you will need strong organizational skills, project management abilities, and cost analysis expertise. Proficiency in written and spoken English is also essential, as well as excellent typing and analyzing skills.

Job Requirements:
  • Prepare documents as needed based on analyzed data
  • Understand and document client requirements
  • Analyze gaps between user requirements and system features and provide input to the development team
  • Test functional aspects of modules developed by the development team and produce desired reports/outcomes
  • Contribute to training internal/external users on performance monitoring and related systems when required
Ship Visit and Other Responsibilities:
  • Obtain vessels for implementation, issue fixing, and training purposes
  • Assist vessels in data collection and update of performance monitoring data onboard
  • Train shipboard personnel on using the system and other modules, including database backup and system recovery
  • Provide support to vessels/remote offices for system issues
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 3rd or 4th engineer or equivalent with 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Shore experience in a shipping management company as a coordinator/controller with naval architecture and marine engineering background
  • Experience and deep understanding of enterprise computing needs of ship management companies
  • Strong organizational skills covering project management and cost analysis
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Excellent typing and analyzing skills
  • Self-motivated, independent, and meticulous with an eye for detail
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
