Job Opportunity: WAN Support Engineer

We are seeking an experienced WAN Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for deploying and supporting WAN networks across global sites in a 24/7 rotational shift model.

The ideal candidate will have strong network troubleshooting capabilities, hands-on experience in BGP, and a proven background in WAN operations preferably from a Telecom or ISP environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and support WAN networks across global sites in a 24/7 rotational shift model.
  • Handle L2 escalations and troubleshoot incidents related to routing, switching, and WAN link issues.
  • Configure and maintain BGP routing and manage changes, updates, and problem resolutions.
  • Collaborate with telecom vendors and ISPs for link provisioning, troubleshooting, and escalations.
  • Maintain documentation for shift handovers, ticket logs, and RCA reports.
  • Ensure high network uptime and adherence to SLA targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
  • Experience with MPLS, OSPF, QoS.
  • Exposure to enterprise monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
  • Ability to create and update network diagrams and SOPs.
