Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Information Technology team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and designing scalable technology solutions that drive business success.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage database servers, ensuring security, deployment, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
  • Design and implement data storage solutions on Azure, AWS, and cloud hosting platforms.
  • Deploy and maintain on-premise installations of SQL Server on Linux/MySQL platforms.
  • Implement data security measures to protect against SQL injection and intellectual property exploitation.
  • Collaborate with development teams to assist with data storage and query design/optimization.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of essential applications.
  • Demonstrate expertise and provide valuable input throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Help design and implement scalable technology solutions.
  • Review current systems and suggest updates as required.
  • Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document procedures for setting up and maintaining highly available SQL Server databases on Azure cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
  • Test and debug new applications and updates.
  • Resolve reported issues and respond to queries in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
  • Identify potential challenges and bottlenecks to address them proactively.
