Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator to oversee database systems performance, security, and availability.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. Database Performance Optimization & Tuning: Analyze and resolve database bottlenecks affecting application/API performance. Implement best practices for connection pooling, partitioning, and caching strategies.">
  3. Application & Middleware Integration Support: Work with API Gateway teams to optimize database interaction patterns. Ensure efficient database design for web applications with high concurrency and SLA targets.">
  4. On-Premise & Cloud Integration: Manage data synchronization between on-prem Oracle and Fusion Cloud Oracle DB via OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud). Monitor and troubleshoot replication/data transfer issues.">
  5. Operational Excellence: Proactively monitor system health, query execution plans, and workload statistics (AWR, ASH, ADDM). Provide root cause analysis and resolution for performance incidents.">

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • ">
  • 6–8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA, with emphasis on Application DBA responsibilities.">
  • Strong expertise in: Oracle 12c/19c performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, optimizer hints; SQL and PL/SQL development and debugging; AWR, ASH, ADDM, TKPROF, and other Oracle diagnostic/tuning tools.">
  • Experience supporting web applications, API-driven architectures, or middleware platforms.">
  • Familiarity with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Fusion Cloud database integration (Pub/Sub methodology preferred).">
  • Knowledge of high availability, scalability, and SLA management for mission-critical applications.">
  • Solid understanding of database security, auditing, and user access controls.">
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work in cross-functional agile teams.">
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with application developers, architects, and operations teams.">

  • Experience with API Gateway products (Apigee, Kong, Oracle API Gateway, etc.).">

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Oracle Enterprise Manager, Grafana, Prometheus).">
