Job Summary

As an Application Delivery Manager at TalenSys, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of applications to meet business needs. This involves implementing existing applications, analyzing and addressing recurring problems, and performing code reviews for quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement existing applications to ensure they remain functional and relevant to business needs

- Analyze and address the root causes of recurring problems to prevent future incidents

- Perform code reviews and generate review feedback reports for quality assurance

- Properly install applications in different environments (development, testing, production) to ensure all settings and configurations are correctly applied and maintained across environments

- Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests, producing test coverage reports to review identified bugs and specify required actions

- Identify incidents to minimize downtime and impact on users

- Monitor different versions of the application and ensure updates are correctly applied

- Apply patches to fix bugs, close security vulnerabilities, and ensure improvement in performance

- Manage and monitor APIs used by the application to interact with other systems, ensuring data flows seamlessly between the application and other systems

- Conduct root cause analysis after a major incident to identify underlying issues and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence

- Deploy new features in a controlled release, allowing users to access the new feature with minimal disruption, and collect feedback for further improvements

- Execute the disaster recovery plan, restoring the application to operational status quickly, minimizing downtime and data loss

Project Management

- Analyze and liaise with IT/vendors for project deliveries to ensure no bugs are reported

- Maintain open communication with stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment with business goals

- Produce source code files implementing application features and functionality to ensure timely deployment of the application

- Identify and assess potential risks associated with the project and recommend mitigation strategies to develop strategies to mitigate identified risks and manage them proactively

- Perform code reviews and generate review feedback reports for quality assurance

- Maintain regular communication with the project team and stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback on reported bugs

- Lead the UAT team for project closure, ensuring complete functional and regression testing is done before going live

- Establish a change control process to manage changes to the project scope, timeline, and budget, which will help improve the application

- Assess the impact of proposed changes on the project to implement informed decisions

- Verify completion of development and testing, and obtain approvals as required, before release for deployment

- Ensure smooth deployment and monitoring in production, ensuring post-production signoff

- Plan the deployment of the application, including preparation for launch and post-launch support

- Execute the rollout plan, ensuring minimal disruption to users and business operations

Stakeholder Management

- Establish calendared monthly meetings with technical module leads to understand new requirements and system-related issues pertaining to different functionalities/modules

- Establish priority tickets out of all requirements/issues discussed, document the minutes of the meetings, and maintain a tracker for resolution of all issues and monitor closure of all tickets

- Coordinate with other teams within IT, such as Business Analysts and relevant PMs, to ensure issues are attended to and driven to closure

- Improve deployment output to ensure the application meets quality standards

- Maintain communication with stakeholders during incident resolution to ensure there is no disconnect between stakeholders

- Provide training sessions for new users, ensuring users become proficient in using the application, leading to higher productivity and fewer support requests

Team Handling

- Lead teams to rationalize, optimize, and support applications for maximum speed and scalability with industry best practices to provide on-time solutions

- Proven experience leading a team in a regulated industry, including understanding regulations, SOPs, computer systems validation, and change control to ensure required changes are made

- Upskill and reskill team members to ensure continuous improvement

- Improve and transfer knowledge of architecture and design principles to guide the development team and ensure no bugs are identified while testing

- Review and oversee completion of development, unit testing, and code review by the team to ensure deployment of the application within agreed timelines

- Specify projects to the team based on workload, skill set, and ensure estimation of effort and finalization of date of delivery
