Telecommunications Design Expert

We are seeking an experienced ICT and Telecommunications specialist to lead the design and implementation of telecommunications systems across various sectors, including healthcare, commercial developments, data centers, aviation, and transport infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop telecommunications systems for ICT and Telecommunications networks, including structured cabling systems, communications rooms, outside plant infrastructure, active ICT networks, wireless LAN and Wi-Fi modeling, RF systems, and technology platforms.
  • Develop detailed reports, specifications, calculations, and drawings to enable the tendering of works for system installation and commissioning.
  • Liaise with other engineers, vendors, and contractors during project duration.
  • Mentor junior and graduate engineers within a multi-discipline design team.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in electronic, computer systems, or telecommunications engineering or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering.
  • Prior experience in mentoring is preferred.
  • Pursuing Chartered Engineer status in a relevant discipline.
  • Extensive experience in leading, producing, and checking ICT and Telecommunications designs.
  • Detailed knowledge of network design principles and experience working in critical environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, including Visio, Bluebeam, Ekahau, Revit, and Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with health and safety requirements and systems engineering/design assurance standards.
