Backend Developer Job Summary

Job Description:

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for collaborating on advanced backend design activities, including synthesis, place-and-route, timing analysis, and physical verification.
  • Developing and optimizing complex design flows using electronic design automation (EDA) tools is a crucial part of this role.
  • Perform static timing analysis (STA) to identify and fix timing violations that could impact the overall performance of our designs.
  • Conduct signal integrity analysis, power analysis, and floorplanning to ensure that our ASICs meet strict specifications.
  • Work closely with RTL designers to optimize designs for manufacturability and performance, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Generate detailed documentation, scripts, and reports to support our ASIC development efforts.
  • Provide technical assistance with debugging and silicon validation activities to guarantee the quality of our products.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is necessary for this position.
  • At least 3 years of experience in ASIC backend design or physical design is required.
  • Proficiency with EDA tools such as Synopsys Design Compiler, IC Compiler, PrimeTime, and Cadence Innovus is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of ASIC design flow, timing closure, and verification principles is necessary.
  • Experience with scripting languages like TCL, Perl, or Python for automation tasks is desirable.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor process technologies and constraints is also required.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are vital for success in this role.
