Procurement Executive Role

Job Overview:

This senior procurement position plays a pivotal role in the smooth operation of procurement processes, focusing on strategic sourcing and vendor relationship management.

The ideal candidate will possess 3–4 years of hands-on experience in procurement within the automotive ancillary sector, holding an MBA in Operations Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure raw materials, components, consumables, and tooling for manufacturing operations.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Raise and monitor purchase orders based on production schedules and inventory levels.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers.
  • Track market trends and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Coordinate with production, stores, quality, and finance teams to ensure end-to-end procurement alignment.
  • Maintain documentation for audits, vendor evaluations, and management reporting.
  • Assist in new product development (NPD) sourcing activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: MBA in Operations Management (Mandatory)
  • Experience: 3–4 years of hands-on procurement experience in an automotive ancillary or Tier 1 supplier environment.
  • Skills: Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management, basic knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Others), familiarity with automotive standards and documentation, proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
